Geffrey unto Adame his owen scryvene

Adam scryveyn, if ever it thee byfalle
Boece or Troylus for to wryten newe,
Under thy long lokkes thou most have the scalle
But after my makyng thow wryte more trewe!
So ofte a daye I mot thy werke renewe
It to corecte and eke to rubbe and scrape;
And al is thorugh thy neglygence and rape.
